To undertake corporate social responsibility (CSR) and foster a culture of caring in the community, Goodwell Property Management Limited (Goodwell) endeavored to maintain keen collaboration with different NGO partners for participating in various community and voluntary services. This year, Goodwell (Head Office) was awarded “Caring Company Logo” from the Hong Kong Council of Social Services for the 17th consecutive year. Achieving a record-high number of participated properties, 35 of its managed properties were also awarded the “Caring Company Logo” in recognition of its substantial effort in voluntary services and continual contributions to the community.
With long-term collaboration with different NGO partners over the years, such as New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service, Goodwell demonstrated its commitment to support the social enterprise products and various meaningful charity programs were organized every year. Volunteer activities such as elderly visits, health care sharing, fund-raising activities and community days were organized, serving numerous beneficiaries from different social backgrounds. Having continuous supported the “Food Sharing Scheme” initiated by New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association for 4 consecutive years, Goodwell helped provide food assistance to over 100 underprivileged in Wong Tai Sin district including the elderly, single-parent families and ex-mentally ill persons, bringing warmness and friendliness to the community. With its continual devotion to volunteerism, Goodwell attained the “Award of 10,000 hours for Volunteer Service” again from the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service of the Social Welfare Department last year.
Mr. Wesley Sze, General Manager of Goodwell, was delighted with the outstanding performance achieved by the team, “Established since 1997, Goodwell Volunteer Team has actively taken part in charity works and community services to foster caring spirit and promote positive thoughts to the community. Looking ahead, Goodwell will continue encouraging volunteering to both staffs and occupants in our managed properties with the aim of spreading joy and laughter among the community.”
